KIKN started supporting this school in 2013. The annual visits over the years have seen a vast improvement in the facilities and infra structure benefitting the 300+ children in the school.
Unbeknown to us, the school organised a surprised welcome because it was Nepal Children’s day!
All the children, over 300 of them, lined the entrance around the assembly ground to welcome KIKN on their special day. They included the young 2 year olds from the Nursery class. It was such a pleasant surprise!
It was a wonderful moment to see one of our sponsored children dancing for KIKN. We were addressed and thanked for the latest help – strong and earthquake proof class room furniture for class 5.
The school was damaged very badly by the 2015 earthquake. Much has been done, but there is still much more we can do…….The assembly area is one such issue……
