Day 7 of our annual Nepal visit

We again had no school visit on Sunday so Kate and I took the opportunity to visit the Boudhanath Stupa, believed to be one of the biggest in the world. It is located around 7.5 km to the east of Kathmandu’s Durbar Square, occupying over 7,600 sq.metres and over 43 metres high. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979. It is a holy site for Buddhists around the world and every day thousands come to. walk around the Stupa and pray. We enjoyed a lovely warm day strolling around the stupa and the various alleyways surrounding it
