Update on Memorial Fund

Dear Friends and Supporters,

This email is to give you a quick update on a couple of items. Firstly, our memorial fund is now formally closed. As you know it was Lai See’s wish to split the funds between KIKN and St. Christophers Hospice. The total joint funds raised came to just over £2,300. St Christopher’s have confirmed that they have received the sum of £1,158.68. Thank you to everyone who contributed to such a magnificent sum. We are looking to use the funds to complete some one off projects in our schools early in the New Year.

Secondly, there are some important changes to the donation buttons on our website. I am sure that most of you are probably aware that Virginmoneygiving, our fundraising platform provider is now closed as an organisation as of 30th November. They are now only processing the remaining GiftAid claims on any funds donated up to 30th November. This means that you will notice a change on our main website donation button going forward. The red virginmoneygiving button seen below

has now been replaced by a new green button below.

Clicking on this button will enable you to make a donation to KIKN via our new provider, an organisation called Wonderful.org. All other donate buttons on our site will also link to the new provider. At the moment they can only accept one off donations but they will shortly be able to offer a regular donation service as well. Using this organisation will have several advantages for us as a charity. They do not charge us any fees and as a result of the latest technology that they use any donations are made straight into KIKN’s bank account meaning every penny of every donation is available for the charity to use.
Thank You.
