With good house keeping, KIKN was able to buy groceries for the 30 families whose children go begging each day.
15 kilos of rice, 2 litres of cooking oil and 2 kilos of red lentils were packaged for each family. Mothers came to collect them at the school.
It was chaotic for an hour or so..in the Headmaster’s office. Local youth worker Sugita was on hand to help with identifying the 30 parents concerned. Sweets were distributed by a friend.
That was the best part as far as the children were concerned.
