One of Nepal’s main festivals , Dashain, has just started. KIKN has always supported all the sponsored children/ young adults at this time when everybody generally goes back to their villages. In the past Lai See and Uma would go out to buy everyone new sets of clothing for the coming winter and an Open Day was held at Uma’s house. Now everyone is much older it is not possible to buy clothes for them so Uma arranges an event for as many as possible to come to her house to enjoy a get together and collect their envelopes with an amount provided by KIKN that they can use to help celebrate the festival with their families and spend as they wish.
