KIKN’s third school visit was to Jana Sudhar School. Once again the children lined the corridor while some stayed in the class room welcoming us with flowers and warm greetings.
It was lovely to be back again to see the children thriving in this nurturing environment, especially so with the young children in the Nursery class. They stood and clasped their hands together in their traditional ‘ Namaste mam’ fashion.
We talked to Sita Poudel, the Principal about the future development of the school.
I fulfilled the wishes of one of our sponsors – to hand deliver an almost new laptop to Anita Rai of the Zinc family (see previous news items). I explained to the Science teacher who will help Anita to get to grips with it. It was an emotional moment for Anita……there were a few wet eyes round the table.
It is such a privilege to be able to support children like Anita Rai to reach her potential.
