This little school sits in the most deprived area in Kathmandu.
It is also KIKN’s poorest to date. It has 80 pupils and 8 teachers, a good ratio of teachers to pupils.
Within the pupil population, 32 children beg in the street before and after school.
A local youth worker has managed to work with the parents to bring them into school successfully.
KIKN started a new breakfast club this week for 50 of the children there.
It is hoped that we can break the cycle of deprivation via access to good education. The breakfast club is a stepping stone in the right direction.
Much work still needs to be done but KIKN has taken the very vital first step.
Thank you all for the continued support and help in every way. KIKN would not have achieved some of these projects so timely and effectively without your loyal support.
