As a charity, KIKN is very fortunate to have sponsors and supporters who are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to raise funds for Kids in Kathmandu. In Southampton, Imogen hit on a way of raising both funds and awareness by organising a card and craft party. It was a highly successful function and she was generously supported by her friends and colleagues in Southampton.
Imogen is seen above with her mum, Janet and their sponsored children during a trip they made to Kathmandu in 2012.
Well done Imogen, and thank you from KIKN.
By way of thanks, a lunch was held in July for KIKN supporters. Our special thanks went towards those people who so generously baked the delicious cakes that helped make our June charity event such a success. On the day healthy funds were raised through the sale of curry puffs and Achar (spicy pickles). Donations also came from the sale of crafts and books on display.
Our day was blessed by generous supporters and sunny weather, the rain only closing in after the last guests had left.
