It’s amazing what a difference a year makes – the bamboo skeleton house covered with sheets of corrugated iron is now a warm insulated home with a sealed ceiling, brick footing and proper windows. It is gratifying to know that KIKN has helped this family of 11 to survive against all odds following the 2015 earthquake.
More importantly, KIKN sponsors Anita Rai (far left in the front row of the photo), the eldest in the family. Along with her aunt, she supports her parents who have profound disability. This is a very difficult and complex family.
