Visit to Saraswoti Secondary School

A visit to the school was made today by the KIKN Chair and team. We were greeted with a Tika, Garland and Nepali scarf.

The school is currently feeding 135 children from the KIKN given funding for 100. This is real added value to KIKN. The Headmaster requested more help to increase the Breakfast club to attract more needy children to come to school. This is going to be KIKN’s biggest challenge this year…….

Currently KIKN feeds over 700 children every school day in the 7 schools we support. However, a request for more funding to increase these numbers has been asked for by every school KIKN has visited so far…….the dilemma of shared funding was discussed with the head. It is to do with managing their expectations. It is not easy……
