Nepal is currently in the midst of an extended lockdown as a result of a devastating second wave of Covid-19 sweeping the country.
Nepal currently finds itself among the countries with the highest daily number of cases in absolute terms. Over 40% of Covid-19 PCR tests are coming back positive. There is no systematic contact tracing or case investigation and limited adherence to public health and safety measures. The humanitarian community is working in support of the government’s efforts to respond to the key needs, as well as prevent and mitigate adverse health impacts. The renewed lockdown measures are having the greatest impact on the most vulnerable, who are already struggling to recover from the impact of the extended lockdowns in 2020.
We are making this urgent appeal to you now because we recognise that the Nepalese government will have many priorities and challenges to tackle in the coming weeks and months. And rightly our children will not be amongst them. It is with the hope that if we raise sufficient funds, in a small way, we can help to relieve the hardship and suffering for some of our children. Help us to help the kids in Kathmandu now by making a donation. You can click on the link below or cut and paste this into your browser. Thank you for help and support.
