KIKN held its second successful Quiz night on Friday 2 Nov at the Clarendon Hotel, Blackheath. All 100 tickets were snapped up rather quickly. A very good response. KIKN held its annual gathering for its 40 sponsored children and their parents on Saturday 15th September. The rain stayed away and we had a full house of children and parents. Just under 80 turned up for the delicious food and a pack of winter clothing from KIKN. It was an opportunity for KIKN to
KIKN celebrated its first year of working with this tiny school of 80 children. The majority of the children come from very poor/ beggars’ families. Food parcels consisting of beans, lentils, beaten rice, noodles, biscuits, sugar and cooking oil were handed out to all the children and their families. It was a humbling experience. It
The children from Parapokar Orphanage, Lubhoo School and others came today to receive their sponsor’s letters. It is also an opportunity for Uma and myself to get to know the mums better. It is giving the sponsored children some focused attention to talk to them about their studies, a pep talk about KIKN expectations etc.
